Terms of Service

By using this site, you agree to the following. We've kept it short and plain-English.

Last updated: 20 April 2026

1. Who's Behind This Site

Make Money in SA is a content and tools website operated from South Africa. Contact: hello@makemoneyinsa.co.za.

2. Not Financial, Tax, or Legal Advice

Everything on this site — articles, tools, calculators, tables — is for informational purposes only. We are not registered financial advisors, tax practitioners, or lawyers. The content should not be taken as personalised advice.

Before making any financial, investment, tax, or business decision, consult a qualified professional registered with the appropriate SA regulatory body (FSCA, SAIT, FSP, etc.).

3. Accuracy & Currency of Information

We work hard to keep information accurate and current, but:

  • Tax brackets, rates, thresholds, and regulations change. We update articles when we can, but always verify with SARS or a practitioner before relying on specific figures.
  • Third-party platform fees, terms, and features (Takealot, EasyEquities, Wise, etc.) change without notice. Always check the platform's own website for current terms.
  • Our calculator tools use simplified formulas and default rates. They are estimates, not guarantees.

4. Affiliate Relationships

Some outbound links earn us a commission if you sign up or purchase. These relationships do not affect our editorial content — we only recommend platforms we'd genuinely use ourselves. Full details in our Affiliate Disclosure.

5. Intellectual Property

All original content on this site — articles, tool code, design, graphics — is copyright Make Money in SA unless otherwise stated. You may share short excerpts for personal or educational purposes with attribution and a link back. For anything else, ask first.

Trademarks and brand names mentioned (Takealot, Shopify, YouTube, etc.) belong to their respective owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these brands unless explicitly stated.

6. Third-Party Content & Links

We link to third-party sites for your convenience. We have no control over their content, privacy practices, or policies. We are not responsible for anything that happens once you leave this site.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by SA law, Make Money in SA, ProteaByte, and the authors are not liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from your use of (or inability to use) this site — including direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses from business decisions made based on content here.

Put plainly: we write things to help you think clearly, but the decisions and their consequences are yours.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by South African law. Any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of South African courts.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
